Under the Sun
As you can see, the daffodils I thought I planted never appeared, but my $4 tulip and hyacinth bulbs bloomed beautifully. John was pleased to hear that bulbs not only return year after year but multiply.

Mini Golf, Round 2
We took Maggie mini-golfing for the 2nd time today (see first time here). She was a lot more interested in the actual sport. She didn't really get the hang of hitting her ball by herself, but she understood the point, and with John's help she did really well. Also, the race track was running, which enthralled her.
She shrieked when we left, but a granola bar calmed her down for the walk home.

Laptop Case
Rachel finally got her birthday present so now I can post about it. I made this laptop case for her using this whip-up tutorial and stamp/letter fabric Rachel picked out online. This was my first attempt at using bias tape and I am NOT doing it again. Well, maybe as a last resort. I had a really difficult time with it and it doesn't look very good up close.
But, the good news is, it fits and Rachel loves it. And that's what matters!

[New] Car Wash
What better time for finally getting around to taking pictures of our new car than when it's being washed by my cute husband and daughter? Maggie was playing in the bucket of "bubbles" I was using to wash the windows (of the house) and I told her to share her bubbles with the car. She got into it really fast.

Baby Bump: 16 weeks
Am I a Soapdish?
This soapdish has been hanging out at Uncle Justin's condo in Park City for as long as I can remember. I admit I don't know much about drugs, but doesn't it look like a pot-smoking accessory?

Baby Doll Diapers
Dolly needed something to cover her bum when she changed from her play outfit to a dress. So, using scraps of flannel and little pieces of Velcro I already had, I made diapers for Maggie and Colette's dolls. I followed this pattern at Skip to My Lou.
I topstitched along the outside rather than handstitching the opening shut.My mom made this dress for my Cabbage Patch Doll. And here's Maggie playing with Dolly. She is running around wearing no pants and a Pooh backpack. What a nut.

Fabric Easter Eggs
I made some fun Easter eggs for decoration (and for Maggie to play with) out of some fabric scraps. Maggie thinks they are so much fun.
Some of them have a little secret pocket for hiding a jellybean or something.

Be sure to follow Retro Mama's advice to cut the pattern perpendicular to the selvedge. My cute tree fabric is printed the wrong way, so I tried cutting it so the trees would be upside up and ended up with a fat egg, as seen in the picture below.
