No AC

Our AC died on Labor Day and it took four days to get a new one.  Enough said.

Canada Day 6: Lake Louise and Lake Moraine

So no one told us the Lake Louise would have a 90 minute line, and we ended up marching 45 minutes uphill in the rain instead.

We enjoyed food from the hotel deli, and a walk along Lake Louise.

But Lake Moraine was way cooler. The kids loved climbing the Rock Pile hike for the view.

And lastly, waiting at a pedestrian train crossing on our walk to get donuts the morning we left.

Canada Day 5: Johnston Canyon

Johnston Canyon was a really awesome hike following the river up the canyon past many waterfalls.  It was beautiful, and Arthur hiked the entire 3 1/2 miles.

After the hike, we drove to Banff, at a picnic at the river, and then went on a relaxing river raft ride.

Canada Day 4: Lake Minnewanka and Elevation Place

In the morning, we went for a walk around Lake Minnewanka.  We saw a fox, played with the rocks on the shore, and enjoyed an easy hike in a little rain.

In the afternoon, we went to Elevation Place, a rec center where we did rock climbing and swimming. The kids begged to go back, so we actually did that two days.
