15th Anniversary

A few days before our anniversary, we left the kids at home and had dinner at a nearby Peruvian restaurant. 

John posted on Instagram about how our toaster has lasted as long as our marriage.

and I posted about the new pajama pants he bought me (I also got Mickey Mouse ones).

Cub Scout Camp

Sienna got to do a day of sibling camp

And Maggie volunteered.

 Arthur wasn't too happy about being left behind.

On the last day Dalton got a great camper award. For being nice or something.

New York City: Coney Island

We can't ever pass up a chance to do roller coasters.  We bought $100 worth of tickets at Luna Park, which was enough for kiddie rides, roller coasters, and to win a Poke Ball at a game booth. 

We also got an Icee cup with unlimited refills (what.).  We totally got our money's worth.

New York City: Transit Museum and Brooklyn Bridge

Another day with Leonard.  NY Transit Museum (So Cool), Shake Shack, and attempt to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, somewhat foiled by protesters. 

New York City: Broadway Shows

John and I each took a kid to a Broadway show.  A first for all of us!

New York City: Rockaways

We took a very long subway ride out to the Rockaways beach.  We got lunch at Subway, beach towels at the grocery store, and had a fun few hours splashing in the waves.

New York City: Liberty Island and Kayaking in the Hudson

We took a ferry out to Liberty Island and then to Ellis Island.  We got caught in a rain storm and huddled under a tree near the Statue of Liberty, which was pretty awesome.

There's a group that offers free kayaking at certain times and we were so lucky to try it out.  Of course, we got caught in another rainstorm.
