Summer Fun

We didn't have much "summer" between road trips, and there wasn't much to do, but we squeezed in a few fun things.

Polar Playground - reading prize

Christmas cookies in July

60 minutes of allotted, registered, pool times.

Lots of scootering, tree climbing, and hammocking.

The little kids did two weeks of gymnastics camp, and Dalton did a week of tennis camp.

We did zero family beach trips this summer, but John and I walked between piers one Sunday morning.

Heber Side by Side and Homestead Crater

We drove to Heber from the cabin one morning, where we rented a 6-seater side-by-side and took to the trails.

Afterwards we washed off the dust with a soak in the Homestead Crater.

Yellowstone

We spent two days at Yellowstone National Park. We enjoyed every type of weather and lots of short hikes, mostly taking turns waiting with Wally

Norris Geyser Basin

Yellowstone River - John and Dalton hiked along the canyon.

Yellowstone Lake

The other side of the lake - West Thumb.  We got caught in TWO Thunderstorms at this stop.

Sand Hollow

We loved Sand Hollow state park so much that we went twice! We stayed in St. George at both the beginning of our road trip, and the end.

We had a doggie life jacket for the second trip.
