Rachel's Visit

 Rachel, Brett and Theo came to visit us this summer.  

We drove to Los Osos to visit family.

Introduced them to kid-free hiking.

Explored Balboa

Bought Knott's annual passes

And went to the beach 8 times in a 7 day visit.

First Day of School 2021

 So glad to be going back to school in person!

Arthur starts Kindergarten

3rd Grade for Sienna

Dalton is in 6th grade

And Maggie's first day of high school - 9th grade.

Iceland!

We were able to take a lovely anniversary trip (and delayed/early 40th birthday trips) to Iceland this summer.  We left the kids and Wally with Grandma, arranged for aunts and friends to take them on outings, and then went hiking all over Iceland.

 Geldingadalir Volcano - active, though we saw no lava spewing.

Amazing walk in a 4000 year old lava field to Thrinukagigur Volcano, where we descended 400 feet on an elevator.

Blue Lagoon

Landmannalaugar - colored hills hike and hot spring

And exploring around Reykjavik
