Hikes in American Fork Canyon

We raced a thunder and hailstorm down the mountain and got completely drenched.

Hiking along the Ridge Trail (157) from the Summit Trailhead

Meadow along trail Tibble Fork 041, directly a mile up from the cabin.

We went back through the meadow several more times in August

Once we took 041 all the way up to the Ridge Trail.  Three miles up, three miles down.

The Beaver Dam is apparently up the 041 to the 173 and just 1/4 mile to the left.  We found it taking the loop from the Mill Canyon trailhead to the 173 and then down the 041 to the cabin.

Also along the 040 were some fun water crossings so we went back with the kids to play in the stream.

We followed the Mill Canyon (040) trail into the actual canyon.  It was nice to do a hike that wasn't just straight up the mountain.

We also attempted to climb around the lake, which was very tricky. The actual 041 trail that goes around is much higher up.
