We went with friends to Disneyland in a perfect two hour rain-free window. We went on Astro Blasters and Finding Nemo, then the kids had a great time exploring Toontown.
Senna tried to scoot away from Minnie, but she wasn't having it!

Turtle Rock Nature Center
12:30 church is apparently a nightmare, so we've started coming up with a list of fun things to do without Dad. And then he was working Saturday, so we got started. We went to the Turtle Rock Nature Center. Arthur threw up on the way there, but other than that... The nature trail has fun little things to do every 100 feet or so (labyrinth, bridges, cool cacti, sundial etc) and we got a scavenger hunt from the center. Not much animal life in January, but we saw a few creatures. The kids also liked the puppets, books, and displays in the center, and of course the nearby playground.

Family Hike at Quail Hill
A post-chapel cleaning hike at Quail Hill on a cool, Saturday morning. We told Sienna it was a race, which she was all for.

Arthur is a handful. He follows around making messes behind you as you clean up the last ones.
He is getting to be a better milk drinker. Sometimes I can convince him with milkshakes, or distract him with magnets.

Christmas Eve & Christmas Morning
Christmas Eve, all clean and in their new jammies from Aunt Pat and Shannon.
This is basically all Arthur got.
We had an hour of church, which was lovely, at 9.
Kids didn't get much by way of toys, but they were pretty happy with their gifts! They each got a stuffed Pokemon, and they are already well loved.

Christmas Week with Leonard and Sumana
Leonard and Sumana came to visit for Christmas!
We went to see Rogue One and got caught in the rain afterwards.
We planned to hike, but the rain led to a paved trail walk at the Back Bay instead.
Neighborhood Christmas bash.
We went up to Los Osos for a night.
Walked the length of Crescent Bay at low tide.
And got our hike in the day after Christmas. John and Sumana did a more intense loop, and the rest of us walked half an hour in, then turned back.
