1-2-3: Retro

This post is from last week, but we've been on vacation and I couldn't get it to publish from my phone.

As I mentioned previously, I don't really like doing the 1-2-3 posts.  It's harder than I thought it would be to come up with something. (I keep doing them because I really like to look back at them.)  Most of the time I take actual pictures I have of two of the kids and create a similar picture for the third kid.  Usually Maggie. Like this week. I had pictures of Dalton and Sienna playing with this old Fisher-Price house.  I took one of Maggie on Sunday morning, last minute and not exactly playing.

Maggie Dancing

Some silly Maggie videos. These first two are of her dancing at a friend's birthday party on Maggie's 6th birthday. I don't know where she learned to dance! It makes me laugh and reminds me of the video of her dancing on Christmas in India a couple years ago.

Here's another video of Maggie pretending to talk on the phone in the hotel on the way to Utah in March.

Articles of Faith

Maggie has been learning the Articles of Faith for Primary this year. She is working on the 13th one right now - the last one!  Dalton memorized a few, too.  While Maggie was learning the 2nd Article of Faith, Dalton fixated on "We believe that men will be punished" and would say it over and over, so we finally had to teach him the rest.

Here are both of the kids doing the 5th Article of Faith.  Dalton runs away, but he is saying the entire thing in the other room.

Here he is doing it nicely. I probably bribed him.  ETA: I forgot, the reason I made him do this one was because he says "authorisGod" instead of "authority."  No idea!

Look-Alikes

Every time Sienna (left) wears these pajamas (from Aunt Erin!) I think of this picture of Dalton (right).  My kids look SO much alike, and I get a lot of comments on it. These two especially, with the big brown eyes.

Here are a zillion other pictures I took of Sienna.  Quite the range of emotion in the first four.

A little baby Rachel look.

Maggie is making her smile.

Maggie Learns to Cartwheel

After six months of gymnastics classes and a lot of hard work and practice, Maggie has learned how to do a pretty decent cartwheel. Today at gymnastics she got to ring the bell and show everyone her cartwheel.

The video isn't the best one, but I love how she "thumbs down" her second cartwheel.

Here's the best picture I got at gymnastics.  She's got her legs kicked up high!

1-2-3: Sleeeep

Well, this week you get three poor quality pictures of my kids sleeping, which is better than what you got last week (nothing, because I was sick and could barely move).  I haven't been taking a lot of pictures for some reason, and even fewer with Maggie in them.  I also kind of dislike making 1-2-3 posts, but I love looking back at them, so onward we go.

This girl is getting tall.

This boy refuses to go to bed and thinks there are monsters everywhere. The monsters seem to disappear pretty easily when blown or kicked at. I think it's a scam...

The cutie patootie who inspired this late-night photo shoot.  This one goes to bed well.  Naptime, that's another story.

Eating Like a Big Girl

Sienna doesn't care for pureed baby food, other than rice cereal. She'll eat people food, though.
Trying out some banana in her handy real-food squisher.

I gave her a chunk of homemade pretzel and she was very pleased! She gummed it to death.

Baby's first Mexican food.

She had a few bites of rice and she liked it.
