GeeKee

Sienna has learned another word. To no one's surprise, it's "geekee" or "blankie".  She has two crocheted blankies, one from Grandma Lynn (John's sister-in-law's mom) and one my aunt Sharon made for Dalton. When we go in her room and she's standing in her crib, she will bend down to grab a blankie to bring with her. She bites them and pulls the blankie away with such force I'm afraid she is going to damage her two little teeth stuck in there.

Maggie's December Writing Journals

I would like to note that she did not receive the much-written-about Nerf gun for Christmas.

1-2-3: First

Well, I was just thinking how proud I was that I managed to do an entire year of weekly 1-2-3 posts, but then I forgot to do one on Sunday.  Here is the first picture I took of each kid this year.

As you can see, Southern California is the place to be in January.

New Year's Banana Splits

The kids have a book called A Monkey with a Tool Belt in which Chico Bon Bon, the monkey, is captured with a plastic banana split as bait. "What is a banana split?" Well, that question needs answering! So we finally had banana splits the other day. Some of them with no banana.

January Beach at Low Tide

We went to Laguna Beach last night and happened to catch the beach at low tide, for the first time ever. We ate dinner, searched out the tide pools and did some rock scrambling. Theoretically, we watched the sun set, but it was cloudy.

New Year's Eve at Legoland

New Year's Eve at Legoland was not as much fun as New Year's Eve at Disneyland.

I took a bunch of 2 second videos instead of pictures, so enjoy this nice video mix. Sienna loved the band.

Stuck.

Not a fan of the Lego guns.
