Balboa Island

Took Arthur for a walk around Balboa Island with some friends and a hippo cookie.

 

Joshua Tree

Lovely day (and night) exploring Joshua Tree with friends.  We set up a fancy picnic in the parking lot with piles of blankets and loads of yummy food and snacks, and then watched the stars come out.  It was amazing.

Lots of really low tide with teeming tide pools and tons of sea glass this month.

 

Carthay Lounge

John and I scored reservations to Cathay Lounge in California Adventure.  We had a delicious lunch and even more delicious fluffernutter churros for dessert.  We also took home Salt and Straw ice cream for the kids, and for our weekly movie night.

 

Universal Citywalk

We drove up to Universal Studios citywalk for some Butterbeer on a Saturday.  We also had Voodoo doughnut, Mexican food, visited the candy store, and then even more butterbeer.
