March Misc.

Beach day at preschool. She wore her winter coat over it.

Pedicures with the girls.

When the kids are too quiet... Maggie helped Dalton put lotion on his face. This happened again a few days later, except she slathered his entire head in an attempt to spike his hair.

At the preschool aquarium field trip.

Temple Square/Church History Museum

Jill and I took the kids to Temple Square yesterday. We had lunch at The Lion House, took some pictures by the fountains, and then went to the Church History Museum to see Uncle Jon's banjo and check out the current children's exhibit.

Isn't Dalton cute in his vest?  He did NOT like it.

Arches (Day 2) and Dead Horse Point State Park

Double Arch - our favorite!  We barely made it in and out of there before it rained.

North & South Windows.

Dalton investigating at the Dead Horse Point visitors' center.

Dead Horse Point overlooking the Colorado River.  This plateau has a 30 yard neck and is REALLY high up.

Teeny tiny Jeep 2,000 feet below.

Maggie defended her Junior Ranger badge from Dalton yelling, "Hey, that's My digi-badge!"

Arches and More Arches

Our first day at Arches National Park. Someone messed up the ISO on my camera, so the first pictures are all overexposed and grainy.  Sneak peek at Delicate Arch through this arch.

I pointed out our license plate to Maggie before this hike, and she was not disappointed.

Yes, I carried my toddler up that hill (and beyond)! Go me! (And John!)

Walking to Sand Dune Arch Dalton discovered "It's sand! It's sand!"

We dumped out about half a cup of sand from Dalton's shoes.

Look how tiny my kids are! I could only get about 1/3 the height of the wall (sand fin) in the picture.

Someone had already scratched in the apostrophe, so I didn't have to deface government property.

Landscape Arch.  We tried to call this the dinosaur arch, but Maggie wouldn't have any of it after seeing the arch. "It does NOT look like dinosaurs kissing," she said. In the top right is Partition Arch.

And here's Maggie up behind the little Partition Arch.

This is the big one you can see in the Landscape Arch picture.

Climbing back down the sand fins.  I love Maggie's little pout. John took another picture right after this and she's grinning, so don't be fooled.

Ladybug Picnic

We made some new friends in the backyard today.  Say "hello!"

Maggie tried her hand at taking pictures. It's pretty difficult to take a picture of a lady bug on a weed (I'm sorry, seaweed) with the sun shining on the camera screen.

But she nailed this one!
